Trans fat Hysteria?

While shopping today for the ingredients for my Thanksgiving dinner, I

found myself feeling frustrated at the fact that so many products

contain partially hydrogenated oils. (e.g. stuffing, dinner rolls) I

eventually ended up at Whole Foods, and happily, I was able to get all

my ingredients free of trans-fatty acids. How ironic that I should

then come home and find this news item. Setting the potential

litigation aspects aside, does anyone have any thoughts on the

validity of this article? Could it really be all hysteria?
