Guest guest
Yep. It happens and have seen it. Willard Bertrand, D.C. attn: extremity/shoulder whizzes Does anybody think it is possible for someone to avulse the short head of the biceps and have almost no pain and /or discernable strength loss one month out? I won't go into details but I have pt. that I am pretty certain did as much about as month ago....hematoma and swelling is gone but to the best of my palp skills i believe i feel the tendon flopping around in there....the muscle is visibly but slightly 'balled' up......but really has full strength every which way (per manual testing). I referred him to ortho but i'm interested? It was one of those things that he mentioned in passing on the way out the door.... " hey doc what do you make of this?! Guest guest
, I’ve seen it. Granted, the guy was an older furniture upholsterer so they might have been willing to let it go non-surgical. They allow the other muscles to recruit rather than go through the scarring of re-attaching the biceps. Call an ortho. They must see this stuff more often than us. Keep us posted. ( E.
