There are many software programs that are fun and educational. also seems to " get it " without showing it. We gave up on math for now. His IEP includes the use of a calculator - heck, I can't add and subtract without one-why should I expect him to? Hubby on the other hand, can estimate what the total grocery bill will come to within a $1.00 and excels in math (99th %) but absolutely HATES math and loves language - go figure! --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Guest guest
My Micah learns in exactly the same way. Though only 4 years old I have noticed a consistent pattern. I call it plateau and peak. We go along, along, along seemingly learning nothing and than WHAM he has the whole thing down. It is really strange. I get no encouragement for my efforts because I see no growth until he has everything pretty much figured out. Now though I understand this pattern and just keep chug chug chugging along lol.
