Guest guest
Dennis, I was there too and he didn't talk much about that. In Lance's book I think he refers to it. If I'm not mistaken, he actually grounds the riders with a wire from their body to the earth while they sleep. No I'm not kidding. Matt Terreri, DC In 1991 I knew of a Chiropractor in California that along with an adjustment had patients lay on a table for awhile holding a wire that extended up into the cieling to draw in some sort of force from outerspace. Again - who knows maybe there is some unknown gamma rays or something that actually benefitted or at least affected the patients from doing this BUT... in a clinical practice (not research), and in a professional practice in which we are taking money for providing health care, I think it is in everyone's best interest that we provide services that can be substantiated to some degree. Sure lets be open minded, but lets also avoid what could turn out to be nothing but a scam and charlatanism. People who work in certain air craft componant manufacturing and computer manufacturing have to wear these little wire bracelets that discharge subtle electrical energy into the ground, otherwise they can damage the super sensitive conductive networks in the computer circuitry. All the circuitry of the smart bombs and other highly computerized equipment is tested, but it can damage the circuitry enough that it passes the test but after X number of months in the field will no longer function properly - so the people working on them have to wear these special wires that discharge static electricity into the ground. On my last father/son campout I had several computer experts that work with the US Airforce explain this to me. However they did not mention, nor have I seen anything to suggest static electricity is in any way harmful to the human organism other than the occassional shock a person might feel after walking cross the carpet in their stocking feet. Guest guest
The Killamook (yeah that's right, Killamook) natives were very astute observers of nature. They saw that when an animal was out of sorts, it would roll around on the ground, then jump up - full of energy - and act like a yearling again. They followed the animals lead and came up with the concept of " earthing " . Earthing is a way of grounding energy, relieving stress and humbling oneself all at the same time. Most people seem to have an aversion to acting like animals, though, unless the situation involves business or sex, so I'm not surprised it hasn't caught on outside of backwater hickster environs where we pay attention to what the original occupants of this country had to say. My Killamook dialect is a bit rusty, but the gist of their instruction for earthing is this - " Grk wha yut cgk sskssk, huk tah pfft sah hrgh " . A very rough translation is - If your energy's low and you're feeling like crud, pull down your loincloth and slide in the mud.
