Guest guest
I'm fairly new to group and the health nutrition info is interesting. I have an observation which goes along with all this, I think. As far as activity goes,it is a safe bet to say few of us move around as much as we should. I realized this on a trip to New York City. It has a great public transportation system, but I was amazed at how much I had to walk to get from subway stop to subway stop and from the stop to where ever it was I wanted to go and back. ly I walked far more in a day there than I would ever have to as a suburban dweller. Now I'm not saying that exercise trumps diet, but I think it would be safe to say that one of the reasons obesity is such a problem in this country is we sit on our collective butts far too much. I have started an exercise program to go along with my eating plan and my final goal is to get in 60 minutes plus of moderate exercise (ie, walking gardening, golf ect.) at least 5 days per week. I realize this is a lifestyle goal and I'm at least doing something every day, but the odd thing is the more I do, the beter I feel. Any thoughts would be welcome.
