Hi Lily,

There have been several reports and studies done using bee venom as a

resolution for arthritic type pain syndromes. Look under 'apis' in google

and see what you get. Sunny

Years ago I read a rather extensive article on the phenomena, used in France

(really) from antiquity, of applying various amounts of bee stings on

purpose to such as Rheumatoid arthritis and other arthritis pts....who went

out of their way to seek the skilled application of such an approach....

the pending research, which I have lost tract of, was assumption the

histamine or other humoral agent was released producing decreasing pain,

sometimes for months or years....

can't tell ya more.....

I have had two patients that had bee sting therapy for the pain and

paresthesia associated with MS.

Both found it quite helpful as I recall.

OregonDCs rules:

1. Keep correspondence professional; the purpose of the listserve is to

foster communication and collegiality. No personal attacks on listserve

members will be tolerated. 2. Always sign your e-mails with your first and

last name. 3. The listserve is not secure; your e-mail could end up

anywhere. However, it is against the rules of the listserve to copy, print,

forward, or otherwise distribute correspondence written by another member

without his or her consent, unless all personal identifiers have been

removed.
