Guest guest Posted June 11, 2004 Report Posted June 11, 2004 Wow, . Sounds like Caty had a good year! I am curious about these keyboarding programs you mentioned. Are you saying that the skin covers the letters in such a way that she is typing from pure memory? Wow! That is fantastic. I'm still trying to get to use both hands and not just hunt and peck with his right. Can you tell me more about the Typing with Rings program? I'm in search of something for . Thanks! Guest guest Posted June 11, 2004 Report Posted June 11, 2004 I can't remember if this group allows attachments, but I've attached a photo of the Teaching Rings typing program. It's nothing fancy, requires no software. It has 8 rings that she slipped on her fingers with the corresponding letters on the keyboard. The program has a workbook/drillbook that starts out very simply and gets harder as you go. She's been using the program for about a year I think. She started out once a week with the OT, but now she works on it everyday in the classroom. This spring, they quit using the rings and around Easter they added the skin over the letters on the keyboard. The skin is just something that the OT had that lays on top of the main keys. (it is not part of the program) It has no markings on it, just 2 dots on the J and F keys like most keyboards have anyway. Does that make sense? Y'uns are just too quiet > > > Do I need to drag Tim to his pc to liven things up? > > > > > --- > Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. > Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). > Version: 6.0.701 / Virus Database: 458 - Release Date: 6/7/2004 > > Quote
Guest guest Posted June 11, 2004 Report Posted June 11, 2004 When I said dots on F and J, I meant to say raised dots (no markings).
