Also, less drastically, is the issue of injuries. Weight training per se

focuses

on isolating muscle groups to obtain maximum benefits; this doesn't

naturally lend itself to necessarily keeping the most important muscles in

the best shape. Bodyweight exercises, on the other hand, can be done

virtually everywhere, use large groups of muscles, develop truly useful

power and, at the same time, flexibility (also unlike most weight-lifting

or machine-based regimens), and seem to me to yield the greatest " bangs "

for your caloric buck.
