Guest guest Posted October 25, 2006 Report Share Posted October 25, 2006 I believe some recent papers have shown that it is the benzo(a)pyrene, its metabolites and acrolein that are the major components of tobacco smoke that cause the lung cancer. (acrolein and benzo(a)pyrene, fyi, are also found in high concentrations in burnt meat, aka, grilling).
