Guest guest
Hello, I read your email and I can feel your pain and frustration. I wish we lived closer so that I could help you. Anyone else in NM on this list live near her? Here are a few suggestions: 1. The state in AZ has a respite program, I think we have 240 hours a year of respite..... you should check into that and see if they have it in NM. 2. They also have a program where you can have someone come in and help with teaching your child bathing, grooming, chores, whatever you decide needs working on. If they could come in 3 or so nights a week that would free you up. 3. Are there other parents at his school who would do child swapping with you? Other parents with sp needs children are going to be more accepting of your son AND your feelings of frustration. You could have their child for an evening once a week and they could take your son once a week. 4. A more extreme fix ...is foster care. There are homes that are special DDD homes where he could be cared for. It does sound like you need some type of break and support quickly for yourself, your son, and I am sure even your 3 yr old is being affected. My prayers are with you and I hope SOMETHING works out. ¸...¸ __/ /\____ ____ ,·´º o`·,/__/ _/\_ //____/\ ```)¨(´´´ | | | | | | | || |l±±±± | ¸,.-·²°´ ¸,.-·~·~·-.,¸ `°²·-. :º° As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. 24:
