Thanks for the info Dave, it's great to see the numbers coming back up from the early 90's. It's too bad that we only have a total of 170 docs on the OregonDCs e-list, a rate of around 15%. That means that 85% of DCs in Oregon are not able to keep up with developments as they happen, nor are they able to participate in the wonderful "virtual group practice" that we all benefit from, with our "virtual hallway consults" on interesting and sometimes baffling cases. I have learned quite a bit from my colleagues about practice, but also learned a fair amount about my colleagues. This is a great forum.

One common complaint I heard was that the e-list had SO MUCH mail to go through.

Therefore, instead of only reading what you could get to or selectively reading items of interest, docs opted out of the list.

Do they also disconnect the phone when too many worthless calls come in?

Yeah, I have definitely heard that complaint before. I think it is more from the docs who check their e-mail once a week or less and then feel overwhelmed by a hundred messages. Not everyone is at their e-mail every 5 minutes like me.
