Yes should have made the Honor Roll and you made sure she did.

That's good!

I would be extremely upset if the school gave my child a free Mcs

meal. It is extremely unhealthy and not something I'd like to see used

as a reward. Yes kids get addicted and that's the problem ... fatty

hamburger, fatty fries, and whatever.

When my child was in school I could keep some control on her diet and

health. When she was out on her own (post high school), she put on 60

pounds, much of it related to Mcs and no controls. Now, she's 70

pounds under her peak after four years of life threatening illness, some

of which I blame on the overweight and Mcs. Hopefully, she will

recover.

Pretty certificate is good!.. but Mcs is BAD!

just one parent's opinion.

Rick .. dad to Jan, 31, cured of AML and diabetes for now, .. and also

ds .. two miles on the treadmill yesterday!

Rick

I also agree. Did you read the recent thread on healthy eating and weight

gain? It is a big concern of ours. However, we do allow our kids to eat

some fast food, but no more than once a week. I heard on the news that some

kids are eating fast food daily, I know it is true, but hard to believe.

My girls will ask for Mcs or 's, but don't even fuss when I say

you got to eat there on Monday, no more for the rest of the week. It is a

struggle though.

It is rare for us to go to the golden arches, but when we are traveling and

we want a quick meal and can't find something better we will go. My girls all

order a garden salad and a yogurt and fruit parfait. Yeap! That's it the salad

and parfait. LOL ;-)

I love the parfait myself. And their new salads are delicious. Right now

likes salad, is in another stage where she doesn't. A month ago

she did, maybe next month she will again.
