Guest guest
I applaud your organization and commitment; clearly your minds have been won over by the extraordinary truth and advantages clearly associated with calorie restriction. I can't help you with your specific query, but please let me suggest that you not worry too much: having seen the right direction in which to head, if it takes you some time to develop routines/recipes/habits that are truly sustainable, in the end, it's your patience (with yourselves and the process) and perseverance that will find you eventually established in a route that shows substantial promise for being sustainable through the long, long, one hopes quite-long haul. I began engaging with CRON and various strategies/approaches almost two years ago, and its only in the last six weeks that I found a route that, for me, leaves me not feeling sorry for myself (and thus prone to error) and confident, even delighted, with its apparent sustainability. Individuals will find individual routes that suit them best, but don't worry, do be happy: this particular passage through the eye of the needle that so few seem able to successfully undertake is truly worthwhile, and it's winning the race and finishing strongly that's the true goal. Guest guest
Everyone receives an automatic message when they join the group pointing them to the files and links and other useful information about this group. I suggest you read the messages. Our files and links are full of suggestions, tips to ease your way, and yes, lots and lots of recipes in a special on-line " cookbook " in our links section. Ah if only people would read what is sent to them. on 2/24/2006 1:10 PM, joann2086 at joann2086@... wrote: My husband and I have both started the CR way of eating and we both feel much better after only 1 weeks. However, with the two of us on the meals, I am struggling with choice of recipes for the mega meals since we would like to eat them for 4 weeks. Where can I get more recipes? Also - what do we do in a pinch when we run out of meals towards the end of the week and need one to get us by? I don't want to get discouraged and I have always been committed to making great meals. Guest guest
As I recall there are several recipes in Walford's book, on this and other websites. If you are thinking about doing this for the rest of your life (I hope), you may want to consider how to make lower calorie versions of your current favorite meals. I am an advocate of modest incremental changes rather than cold turkey cold turkey.... Often something like substituting veggies for pasta (like spaghetti squash for spagethhi?) turns an otherwise non-CR meal into something more appropriate. We all must find our own slightly different path, but the one thing about CRON is that it isn't one thing... It a very varied diet, just lower calorie while nutritionally dense. Enjoy...
