Guest guest
>>Do you (or anyone) know anything about The Vitamin Shoppe and Swansons? I believe they are in the same price range as Puritan's Pride. I have tried some of their products and like them. But I worry that the lower price products may not be as pure. LEF advertises their supplements as " pharmaceutical quality. " I don't know if this is worth the extra cost or even true, especially after reading some of these posts. Any more information on this subject by any on this list would be most welcome. The term " paharmceutical quality " had no legally defined meaning... in other words, its worthless. Dont be afraid or fooled by price alone. True, you often got what you pay for but that usually only holds true in a regulated market with fair pricing. Supplements are unregulated and the companies dont play fair. So, one of the tricks they use is to raise pricing to imply quality. Not true. In the last 10 years, many of these products have been tested by independant labs that have reported the results publically. Inspite of their low price, companies like Nature Made, Kirkland (costco house brand), Berkeley Jensen (BJs house brand), Puritans Pride, Vitamin World, even Kmarts house brand, have passed every independant test run on their products. Yet, some of these higher priced brands, including LEF, havent. Regard Jeff
