creating your own double-blind single-rat study

You are right. I only gave half the requirements, you have

the other half. Maybe one could then measure the effect of

a single supplement on their BP thusly:

Using your own capsules, fill one set with the supplement in

question and the other set with a placebo (sugar or cornstarch,

perhaps). Have someone else label the bottles and write down

which is which, only to be revealed later.

Get a BP monitor with a memory feature and take scheduled

measurements while not looking at the readings. If the memory

would fill up before the entire study is complete, have someone

else write them down prior to the washout period.

After all is complete, reveal the identities of the supplements

and the values of the readings and evaluate.
