Guest guest Posted April 12, 2006 Report Posted April 12, 2006 Hi everyone. Ed had his ablation today for his WPW & this time it was successful. As some of you may remember he was diagnosed & acutely treated in New York—almost 2 years to the day—for heart failure. He received an AICD for risk of SCD, had EF of 24-28 %, as well as the WPW. They tried to ablate but said to close to natural pathway. Docs today said they got it about a ½ inch from NY attempt. Ed says he can feel the difference already w/ no irregular beats –said it is weird “missing” it. He is not pacer dependent & returns to work Thursday. He came home this evening. These last few weeks as the date approached was awful-very fearful of dying. Such a relief..all the help from above……. Janet Quote
