Guest guest
Press, I don't do much M & P anymore, but when I did I added at differnt times, lotion, powdered milk, hand cream, shea butter. Worked great. Becky :] I would love to get an idea of some good oils to work with in melt and pour. I have heard that jojoba, kukui and emu are good. Looking for someone who has done this. Thanks! Are these items added before melting the glycerin and heated all together, or are they warmed separately and added to the melted glycerin? Or....added to teh hot glycerin, is that enough heat for these items to be added in without heating them separately? And..I've seen lots of recipes with milk. I'm finally going to ask - what property does milk add to the soap?

Or.... Oh, do tell?? I haven't seen that phrase in years, cute! As for the M & P, after melting it in the microwave, I would just gently mix in the lotion or hand cream. With the powdered milk I mixed it in a small amount of water then mixed it into the melted soap. (Do not just pour the powder in the hot M & P!! Ask me why!) I have made a milk, baby oatmeal and vanilla FO soap this way and it was very moisturizing, plus it smelled heavenly!! Blessings, Becky :]
