Heat shock proteins are differentially regulated by the style of CR, regular or

intermittent feeding.

Although the below pdf-available paper appeared to represent not particularly

practical results in the title nor abstract, the text informed. The Fig. 1 data

were mentioned only in the methods section of the text, but had what were for me

intriguing results. The Fig. 1 results other than the title are eye-ball data,

below. Intermittent feeding may require more consideration.

Hi folks:

Fig 1 in this study Al posted speaks for itself regarding the

benefits of CR or IF versus Ad lib. But, to me at least, the heat

shock protein 'thing' didn't mean much.

Fwiw, it now appears that HSPs are produced in response to stresses

and are beneficial in protecting against the stress. With aging HSPs

are created much less in response to a stress. The data in this

study show very clearly that the decline in production of HSPs is

much reduced in both regular CR and in IF. More so in IF than in

regular CR, despite higher caloric intake in the case of IF.
