Guest guest
go on Youtube and search out green smoothies and you will get even more adventurous. I also have found that my taste has adjusted. First time out a whole carrot was too much and now it is fine. > > Okay - I'm getting a little braver with my Smoothies. > This morning I decided to add an additional vegetable to my Smoothie. The concoction tasted good - but the color was pretty bad, I don't think a child would be fond of it. It actually grossed my husband out looking at it. I used a small orange, 1/2 banana, 1 carrot, a handful of spincach, a little water, and some ice cubes. The consistency was good and the taste was good - but that color.... not so good. :-) Each day I try a little something different, some I'll try again, some not. > Thanks for all of the great posts here encouraging us new folks! >
Guest guest
Gosh, I know what you mean about the color. The first time I made a " green " smoothie for my husband and me, it looked pretty purplish brown. We were both very skeptical that this would be something we could actually consume. So, I turned to him and held up my glass and said, " Here's mud in your eye! " We both cracked up. At any rate, it tasted good! After that, I haven't worried about the color and rather enjoy seeing what shade of purple, green or red I come up with. I, too, no longer worry about getting everything just right. I use what I have, and it always tastes great. > > Okay - I'm getting a little braver with my Smoothies. > This morning I decided to add an additional vegetable to my Smoothie.
