Help, my Vitamix container is leaking!

Hi Everybody,

My vitamix container has starting leaking and I have only had it for about 5-6

months, I am trying to find the receipt for it, but in the meantime, thought I

would send out a " help " email!

Just call Vitamix tomorrow; I'm guessing that all that's needed is the serial number on the base. They'll talk you through it and if they can't suggest a fix, they'll make good on a new container.

Just to reassure you, I think this is a common problem. I had the same problem

and I remember hearing other VM users saying they had a problem, too.

If its the same problem I had, it just requires tightening of the giant black

'nut' on the bottom of the container. I think Customer Service has a tool for

doing it, but I just had my husband tighten it with his hands--mine were not

strong or big enough.

Vitamix knows when it was sold by the serial number. If you haven't already registered your machine, call the 800 number on the back of it and register the machine and then tell them about the leaking container and they will tell you how to fix it or send you a new one.

I called Vitamix and they are sending me a wrench for free to try to tighten it.

Hopefully that will work!
