FINALLY!

Despite one challenge after another over the past three months...

including the deaths of two friends, two hurricanes coming close to

Tampa and a third headed this way now, leaving a job and tightening

our budgetary belt as I look for another - at the same time my wife

gets ready to go through the same with her employer (Capital One)

closing down most of their Tampa operations, a horribly painful

experience as I switched Internet Service Providers, then transfer our

various websites to a new home way out in Utah (at least we will never

have to worry about disruptions of service from tropical storms again)

with a different set of protocols and routines to learn, Sheri and I

starting a new diet program (20# down already to 237!) etc. etc etc...

despite ALL that: We have the new Zapper·BBS up and running!

After 3+ months, our former ISP was unable to OK a program for us

to use. With the help of our new ISP, we got it online within only

two days after moving the sites to a far more friendly ISP that

provides 24/7 customer service... with the total for ALL our sites

costing less than $20/month!!! If any of you are looking for a

great host service.. let me know. (I get referral discounts too.)

Yes... I know I must do some tweaking.. but it is ready for use.

So try it out and let me know if there's something you do not like

about it.. or a feature you want to have it offer. Just go to

http://www.ZapLife.org and click the ZAPPER·BBS button on the nav bar

on the left of the screen.

You do need to register.. but it will NOT cost you anything or

lead to getting spam. It will enable me to " boot " crooks like the

smut peddlers that ruined the old BBS. It will also give members the

option to send private messages to other members.. and perhaps even an

@zaplife.org email address if you want one. (Still trying to figure

out that feature.)

We also have a temporary Zap·Chat system up and running. It's

freeware from a third party and unless I want to fork over $10 a month

for an ad free license.. it forces users to put up with discreet

advertising links plus one annoying pop-up a few seconds after logging

on. Just close it after it loads.

Again... our most popular weekly (online support group) session

starts at 8PM EST on Thursdays. (TONIGHT!!!) But feel free to

organize other sessions whenever you want via postings here or by an

email campaign.. you are even welcome to use it for online family

reunions if you want! My family will be meeting there this weekend as

Frances threatens Sheri's sister family near Palm Beach, her folks in

Hudson, us here near Tampa, and her brother south of here. The rest

of Sheri's Hoosier family and my brother in Indiana will probably be

checking on us via the Zap·Chat too!
