Anyone ever eat this? i love love love peanut butter. and one of my favourite meals is to eat PB on a toasted whole wheat english muffin but it can be my downfall if im not careful. PB is very high in fat. even the natural stuff. even the 'light' stuff. im doing weight watchers so i have my limits but i do manage to fit in 2 tablespoons of 'light' pb on the ww muffin once in a while. i think that it would be too high calorie/high fat to eat every day for breakfast. for example this would equal 6 points in weight watchers while what i normally eat for breakfast each day is 3 points. (that would be 3/4 cup kashi go lean cereal with 1/2 cup 1% milk). the good thing about peanut butter and ww eng muffin is that it really sticks with you. i find that i dont get hungry later if i eat that! > Anyeone have a good no fuss >at work lunch??? lunch-time is when i typically eat the ww english muffin but with 50 grams of turkey and some mustard. add to that a little can of V8/V-Go and a sugar-free/fat free yogurt. (for weight watchers, all of this is 5 points) >Tonight I did some Gilad and Carribbean workout. I'm taping Cathe >and will try that tomorrow. Eeks. I'm scared of her...lol but I know >I need to re-up my intensity to get that ten pounds off again. i LOVE gilad and the caribbean workout! i saw a commercial on fit-tv that showed david snively, joanna and shellie macdonald all working out together. man what a team those 3 would make!! i seriously hope that they put all 3 of those people together for workouts on the dvds that they are making of the carib workout!! (due out in january, ive heard) dont let cathe scare ya! you have the ultimate power.... it is the remote for your vcr!! you can pause cathe, FF cathe and even stop cathe if you want...heehee. i know what you mean though. today i got to pick between cathe and gilad and i picked gilad! LOL. -carolyn.
Guest guest
Carolyn, How bad are apple butter and almond butter? Are they any better? Alos, how do they tatse? I've never had either but have read about them in the past. I need an easy morning protein and I sick of shakes and bars. Yet 90% of the time I eat breakfast at work at my desk so I need something super duper simple...same with lunch. I have to eat at my desk since I try and workout most lunch breaks. I wrote the turkey/English Muffine lunch idea down and will try that. Anyeone else have any ideas? Thanks so much! a

Are they any better? thats a really good question! i dont think that ive ever had either one. i looked up almond butter and it looks to be about the same amount of points as peanut butter. (all nuts are high in fat). i do expect that the apple butter would be better as an apple would typically have less calories/fat than peanuts. but to be sure you are going to have to compare the labels. >I need an easy morning protein and I sick of shakes and bars. do you like cereal? i love the kashi go lean (or the kashi go lean crunch) with milk and splenda. kashi is very high in protein and fibre so that is why i eat it. i thought that it would taste awful but i was pleasantly surprised. or if i want hot cereal, my other choice is oatmeal (with milk and splenda) which is again, high in fibre. you can also get a low fat bran muffin mix at the grocery store that you can use to make your own healthy muffins (again trying to get fibre from the bran). add chopped almonds to the mix for added protein. (i often have one for a night-time snack). or how about eating a hard boiled egg for fast easy protein? if you dont like any of those then why not have the chicken or turkey on your english muffin for breakfast? you can certainly have an eng muffin with pb if you want though. just go really easy on the pb or only eat half of the thing. -carolyn. Guest guest
I eat Kashi on occassion but cereal would be hard to manage at my desk. Especially considering how klutzy I am. I actually just made high protein low carb muffins...they are great but I tend to over indulge in them and thus only buy them on occassion. I might cruise by the grocery store today and I'll let you know about the apple butter...but I do wonder since its apple will it have protein. SIGH! They'd have to ADD it and when they do that it often tastes icky, Well, I did complte Cathe this morning. Phew! It was one of her easier workouts though...anyone else catch it on Fit TV? I really think its just her STEP work that gets me. I studied dance when I was a kid ans I still get tripped up with her choreography. And of course I'm too impatient to learn it on the floor. This week will be a real challenge for me. I have a huge project that might make me sacrifice some lunch hours..which no means no mid- day workout and then Terry will probably come up so I'll want to spend my evenings with him. In the least I'll have to convince him to go on some long walks in the neighborhood at night. Though I'm sure he'll workout when I'm at work and be lazy and tired by the time I get home. He likes to workout around his schedule and there is no telling him a time we are going to ther gym a time to walk etc. Some BOYS! a > >How bad are apple butter and almond butter?
