Guest guest Posted December 1, 2004 Report Share Posted December 1, 2004 i started my december rotation yesterday -- gilad's quick fit system. the first workout was his CARDIO CLASSIC which is 30 mins of easy floor aerobics. basic moves, easy to follow... low impact with a bit of medium impact near the end. definately a beginner cardio workout, although i did get all sweaty. but not out of breath, and i have asthma and have not worked out for a week and a half!!! so, you advanced exercisers should probably forget this one. personally it was good for me to do an easy workout as ive been battling a huge slump -- this workout is certainly dread-free. but it is somewhat repetitive and he also likes to TIFT which adds to that. this DVD is fully chaptered though which is nice. the music is pretty non-descript. gilad and his background exercisers were fine. oh and the girls did not wear bikinis to workout in, thank goodness. everyone wore black pants and tank tops or workout bras in the women's case. today i was supposed to do a hip/butt/thigh and then an abs workout with gilad, but i had a horrible fight with my DH last night and im feeling wiped right out today. i dont even know what happened, my DH got some idea in his head and ended up starting a fight with me about it. i still dont know what is going on but he is not speaking to me today, and i dont particularly want to speak to him either, so i will have to wait and see. i am really mad at myself for letting him get to me.... im wondering if part of this fight had to do with sabotage -- im losing weight and im wondering if he is feeling threatened by that so he is trying to throw me off so that i get depressed and give up (?!?!) i dunno. i did make the mistake of telling him how much weight i have lost and showing him some of my jeans... and another mistake in showing him my autographed gilad QFS among some other fitness/self improvement things. anyway, i am feeling depressed and upset and all of that and dont want to workout! wah!!! so now i feel like he won!!! ugh!! i must must must get off of my pity party and do my workout this evening. then i want to pamper myself with a hot bubble bath afterward and the latest issue of HEALTH magazine. so im going to try hard to do my workout when i get the kids into bed tonight around 830pm. wish me motivation! *carolyn. Guest guest Posted December 1, 2004 Report Share Posted December 1, 2004 Hi Carolyn, Thanks for the run down on Gilad QFS -- I'm actually thinking of getting this for DH -- he had a dr.'s appointment yesterday where he was reminded of his somewhat high cholesterol and BP and now he is thinking about working out again. I though Gilad might appeal to him since he is a guy (I mentioned that the background exercisers might wear bikinis, too, but I won't tell him they don't in this series!! LOL!) I also liked the way you described how the program was structured, it sounds like he could make progress at a nice steady pace. I'm not sure what other workouts Ihave that would appeal to him. I thought about Tae Bo, but I'm afraid there is too much potential for injury if you've never exercised before. I did pull out Sansone, but I'm afraid he'd be bored. I think he would like PHH but I don't think he is ready for all the running and jumping, but I think the arms workout would be good for him, as well as some of Cathe's strength work. So, thanks for the report!! Also, how much did you pay on E-bay? I might just have to look there to save some $$ On another note, I'ms orry to hear about your fight w/ DH. He may be feeling threatened by the " new you " . It is not uncommon - maybe he feels insecure and a little jealous. I know the last thing you probably want to do right now is re-assure him...but maybe when things cool off you could tell him somehow that just b/c you're changing and improving yourself doesn't mean that you won't " need " him or want him anymore. Like I said, right now you probably would rather just give him a swift kick...but once things settle down maybe you could try that. In the meantime - DON'T GIVE UP!! And lots of (((HUGS))) enjoy that bubble bath! Guest guest Posted December 1, 2004 Report Share Posted December 1, 2004 thankyou kassia and donna for your encouraging words about my DH. something is really wrong with him!! we had the same ridiculous, yet insulting and hurtful, fight all over again this evening. i dont know what is going on, if it is related to me finally losing weight or not, all i know that he is acting quite strangely. and here i sit, not exericising and pigging out on junk food. i am just so upset. thanks for listening... i will definately work harder tomorrow morning to get my workout done. i will try to combine today and tomorrows workout together so that i dont fall behind in my rotation. i need to keep my focus and not let things get to me so much :/ *carolyn.
