Guest guest
dear group, I've not posted yet because I haven't returned to my routine of exercising. At the moment, I am dealing with heavy cramps and getting over a cold. I suppose that should be all the more reason for me to exercise (I know that it can help!) but I feel like putting it off just a bit longer until I am feeling not so blah. It shouldn't be much longer before I will start exercising again and when I do, I'll post here about it. So far, I find many of you quite inspiring and it's nice to have found a place where others prefer to exercise with workout videos in the privacy of their own home. I find that videos that interchange aerobics with strength training can be quite effective. Does anyone else keep an exercise log on paper? I have been keeping one in a notebook for a long time now. It's a good way to keep track of which videos I do on what days and I even discovered which videos I prefer to 'start back up' again with as well. Oh, and I'm Amber, by the way. I'm 26 years old. I live alone with 2 cats. I take medication for hypothyroidism and for depression / anxiety. I need to exercise more. Hello!
Guest guest
hi amber! welcome to the group! give it another day or two until you feel better. but trust me, getting started again is the hardest part! but know that we are here, cheering you on. you are going to have to just force yourself to get it done. but once you do that you will have a really good feeling of accomplishment and that feeling will see you through to your next exercise session... and so on. it will become like a snowball rolling down hill so please know that we will be dying to hear all about the workouts you have chosen for your 'come-back'. oh, and yes i do keep a workout log! sort of a whole book actually i find that it is really important and helpful to me. -carolyn. Guest guest
Hi Amber, Nice to have you here!!! Getting started is always hard, but once you do it just falls right into place. I keep track of my workouts on my calendar - and agree, it is nice to look back and see what worked and what didn't! Plus, I love to check in here and find out what everyone else is up to, it really keeps me motivated!
