Hi Jeanette!

Those Callanetics workouts are pretty tough, aren't they? I think I may

pull mine out starting next week. I'm due for a change. The QC legs is the

toughest, in my opinion. I think I'm going to do a combo of Callanetics and

Cathe's TimeSaver DVD (which I paid lots of $$ for, so better put to good

use!) for a couple of weeks.

How old is your toddler? My DD is 13 months and she didn't want to go to

sleep last night either- must have been something in the air. We're going

to get her first shoes today - she started walking the week after her 1st

birthday in August, so I think shoes are in order - especially since she now

wants to walk EVERYWHERE and barefoot isn't always appropriate.

Take care,

Donna

Hi!

The Timesaver DVD is a compilation of Cathe's " Blast " series - she has set

up a 5 day rotation using parts of her " Blast series " workouts. The

workouts are all under an hour, so I figure they'll be good for adding

Callanetics to. I think this DVD was almost $50, which is quite expensive -

but she does offer quite a bit in the way of options on her DVDs which make

them worth it to me (I can mix and match, etc.)

I didn't get shoes until she was walking either! Actually, I waited about a

month, as it was August when she started walking...but now I'm thinking I

should get her used to shoes before fall/winter, plus she wants to walk more

places now.

Take care!!

  • 2 weeks later...

I bought something similar to that off qvc. Forgot how many different combinations it offers.

Hi Everyone,

For this morning I did - T-Tapp Primary Back Stretch, Firm BSS3 Fat Blasting

Cardio w/ Kay, the Hi/Lo Back, Core & Stretch from Timesaver # 2, and

the " blast " from Lotte Berk High Round Assets. WHEW! That was quite a bit

to type out.

The Fat Blasting Cardio w/ was " okay " - I didn't love it, but maybe it

needs to grow on me. You only need your step at an incline for 2 sections

(if I remember correctly) and you can easily modify by using a flat step for

these sections. I made up my own incline - I have an old " super step "

(home-size step) from the early '90's that I set at an incline, however, the

angle isn't the same as the Firm Box, since the highest I could lift the one

end of the " super step " is 8 inches - so I put my club size step down at 6

inches, and rested the higher end of my " super step " on the club size step -

(since the club size step has treads, my " super step " didn't slip). This

seemed to work pretty well and it came in really handy as we switched from

the incline to regular step aerobics (I was simply able to move my " super

step " out of the way). Overall this workout is okay - the step aerobics is

pretty much standard stuff that you have seen in other step videos, except

w/ the twist of adding handweights to some of the movements. I'll have to

try it again to really get the feel of it. I didn't like the music in this

- it was loud and sort of drowned out . I also didn't ahve enough room

around my step for some of the moves and will have to set up better next

time. I think having the Firm BOX would be nice for this set - since it

seems to adjust quickly from incline to non-incline and you wouldn't need to

drag out as much equipment as I did for this workout - but it is definately

not necessary and I'm not sure how much I'm going to use these - sufice it

to say, I wasn't in " love " this first time out. Maybe I'll like the sculpts

better or maybe I just need to do this one again. Time will tell!

Enjoyed Cathe and Lotte afterwards.

Running late (what else is new and will check in later!),

Donna
