Cathe's been exercising for some 10 years and is clearly physically strong so I

wasn't surprised to find out she uses heavy weights.

Wow, I give this video the highest of praises. This is my new

favorite strength video for sure!

This is a full body workout that reminded me of Body Pump, my favorite

strength class at the gym (alas, it's no longer offered at my gym, boo

hoo). The music in it is super!

The theory is to use lighter weights and to do lots of reps, however,

Cathe uses very heavy weights compared to me and what most of us do in

class at the gym. It's quite impressive!

What surprised me is that we did the leg presse exercises no less than

three times throughout the video. This is where you have a step with

5 or 6 risers and step up and down on one leg to use your glutes and

hamstrings. I had a hard enough time doing these with no weights;

Cathe uses a 10 lb plate! Holy cow!

All the exercises were challenging, and I love that I finally got to

use my medicine ball for chest and abs.

I will certainly feel this tomorrow. I'm gonna look at my workout

schedule next week and try to come up with a Cathe Muscle Endurance

week kind of schedule.

Pink Pussycat's rating: 10

I recorded that program from Fit TV too. I may switch to Cathe's Pyramid Upper

and Lower Body 1 day each and then do one of her endurance programs (Either

Power Hour or Muscle Endurance) on the 3rd day. I read that plan on a message

board and really liked it.

Cool! I'm so glad you liked this one -- I have it (FitTV version) and have

been meaning to try it. Once I get finished up w/ PHH I may give it a go.

Of course, I'll have to FF through commercials, but hopefully it won't be

too bad (and maybe I'll end up buying the full version...)

Are these tapes step aerobics? Are all of her tapes step? I have one

of her videos and I liked her as an instructor, however, I'm trying

to get more tapes that are strictly floor since I avoid the step and

only can make myself do it on occassion.

Ugh! So many videos, no money. Hopefully that will change soon. Two

more interviews next Wednesday in Austin.

Hi a,

Most of Cathe's aerobic tapes are step, but she does have some kickboxing

type workouts and she did put out a tape that had some hi/lo (mostly hi) -

Maximum Intensity Cardio - it is tough! Long hi impact floor aerobics

segment followed by step .

Good luck on the job front! :>
