The only exception I've found to > this rule was Contact 1 & 2. this is really disappointing, i know after billy parted ways with his old production company, he joined up with GoodTimes Entertainment (who do the firm, leslie sansone, richard simmons and others) and they mainstreamed billy's workouts. one of goodtimes' specialties is 'props' for their workouts -- with the firm it is a step bench and a sculpting stick and now another wacky step bench -- leslie has weighted balls and bands -- billy all of a sudden has little 1 pound weighted balls (smaller than leslies!) and then 'bobbo the clown'. (and yes our 2 boys have a 'bobbo' guy that they hit and kick, although the last time i saw bobbo, he looked 'dead'.) anyway, besides being wimpy there is a problem with the props -- they are crap! poorly made... mass made. gt and the firm are recalling their latest step bench which has numerous different complaints. so im not surprised, honestly, that you are disappointed in these workouts. when billy joined GT, i bought the first two workouts that they put out (CARDIO and FLEX) and i stopped buying right there. instead i concentrated on acquiring all of his older workouts that i didnt have. his older workouts kick ass and are some of the best exercise videos that i have ever done! sure one needs to use their exercise smarts when doing them -- you know that they are pros and you need to go at your own pace -- do that and im sure that you will enjoy them. > The second one was just as disappointing as the first. Not an intense > workout at all, unlike the others. I was bored. yep... and apparently all of billy's other set that he made with GT is like this too -- the 'taebo 2004' set with the balls. cardio and flex are like that as well.... i still do them but have to do them back-to-back to get a good workout. > Have a wonderful three day weekend guys! its not a 3 day weekend here. that was last weekend (may 24 -- victoria day, england's queen victoria's birthday) -carolyn. --- Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). Guest guest
Well dang! I got the " Power 2004 " series too with the balls, again on Ebay. If I make it through them I'll review them. I started on " Foundation " but it wa way too easy so I'll try some of the others. I'm so glad you set me straight - from now on I'll only go after the older ones too! And for the Firm I use a regular step and I have a medicine ball (haven't used yet but hope to soon) Jab and jack, > > Donna, by all means DO TRY TAE-BO - IT'S AWESOME! Guest guest
hi laura - i dont own taebo 2004 and have never done them.... but i have had them compared to cardio and flex which i do have. these workouts are not badly done but the intensity is not there. the music isnt there. the energy isnt there. (even though one of the workouts in the new set is called, ironically, ENERGY! lol). thank goodness billy is there! lol. and shellie. even though shellie is quiet and not so animated. noone acts human, really... noone stops to get a drink or loses their balance or requires billy to come over and give them a pep talk. everyone in the new classes are like robots. people who have never done taebo before like the new workouts. people who have progressed through billy's original series, his live box set, his total and get ripped packages and finally his 24 live workouts do not like any of the new workouts that billy has done with GT. hmmpfff. however, if you tell me that you enjoy the 2004 workout then i might re-consider trying them also i find it interesting that QVC is selling the 2004 kit with 4 workouts, an instructional (foundation) and the little balls for a mere $24. hmmmm. ok, so having said all of that apparently billy will be coming out with even more new workouts with goodtimes. some of these sound like they might be suitable to billys old die-hard fans -- it seems that he has decided to go back to making basic *and* advanced workouts! yay! but before i buy any of them, i will be waiting to read reviews and see clips. *~*~*~*~* Carolyn RE: > Well dang!
