Clarification on the date puree - water to the top of the dates, not the top of the container...

I don't know if you are able to see this link above if you aren't one of my FB friends, but it is a link to a picture of a protein bar recipe that I "invented" today. (I accept all friend requests by the way, hint, hint... :-)

But if for some reason you can't see the picture, here is the caption (which includes the recipe).

I created a chocolate protein bar/cookie today. It is in the Excalibur dehydrating.1/2 cup of Hemp Protein Powder1/2 cup of coarse almond flour (made in the Vitamix from raw soaked and dehydrated almonds)1/2 cup of ground flax seeds1/4 cup of cocoa powder2 cups of date puree (2 cups of dates in the Vitamix with water added to the top and blended)1/4 cup of coconut oilpinch of sea salt5-6 drops of liquid SteviaThey will be finished tomorrow morning, but I know they will taste good because I liked the batter :-) I made them into cookies because I thought it would be easier than cutting out bars from a big glob of batter. The nuts on the top tray are soaked Brazil nuts.No comments about what they look like necessary - I already get it ;-)

I got a question about baking them and here are my thoughts on that:

I get a lot of my recipe ideas from the raw food community so that is why I am using the dehydrator (to preserve the living enzymes). But I don't see why you couldn't also bake them. If I baked them, I'd just treat them like a cooked food (which in my case means that I would take digestive enzymes. I take digestive enzymes any time I eat cooked food).

Google Hemp Protein Powder and Hemp Seeds - they are Chock Full of nutrition. Hemp Protein Powder is IMO the best, but sadly, it doesn't have the best taste :-( That's what got me thinking about making these bars!
