Guest guest
Dearest Colleen, Poor hon - the last thing you need is family troubles when you are already sick. Yeah I've been there, and its a popular topic here. Its so horrible to live with peoples anger and guilt. "Please pray for my disability to go through so that I will have some freedom again and can make a plan for myself" What happened to your recent dissability? Why did you have to move in with your aunt? " Im trying very hard not to cry as it leaves my eyes more messed up afterward, but today is tough." Oooh yeah you have sjogrens, shitty!! Crying is a strength - a release we all need at times and gosh that must be hard when even crying makes you sick :-( "I have learned the hard way during this that if people truly CARE they come through for you," My motto is "Actions speak louder then words" "My point is that if you have to get mad, people will just be responding out of guilt anyway and who needs it??????????" I think its worse when people act out of guilt. Just makes me feel more pathetic when someone does something cause they "should" rather then cause they wanted to. I hope today is better then yesterday hon, and please, vent all you need!! *gentle hugs* Aisha
Guest guest
Thanks Aisha Your support means a lot to me. This has been really hard and my eyes are on fire today from crying last night. It really is a stupid problem to have! My disability from my old job ran out. I used the whole amount and have been waiting for SSD< and God only knows how long that may take, its not very much but much better than nothing. Guest guest
Colleen, Sorry for the tough day. Families can be exasperating to say the least. Thoses are the times when I wished we were all close enough to have coffee or give a hug. I hope your disability goes quickly and try to keep your sanity. VENT VENT VENT go for it. Everybody here does it and we do understand. Love and hugs
Guest guest
Thanks I appreciate the support. You are SOSOSOSO right about the coffee thing. It would help people out a lot if we were close enough to get together once in a while, Thank God for the group! Hugs Colleen

Guest guest
OOOps my mail sent before I was done. Anyway, the crying leads to a lot of inflammation and rebound dryness. I have tears to cry but they seem to be extra thick and salty and lead to the pain later. Ive had a rough day all day from crying last night and had to use some steroid ointment today. The fight is because my work dis$$ ran out and I am at my aunts. Moms sis, mom and dad just could not deal with the lifestyle change of having a 30 year old come home and have reacted like I am faking this or exagerating to get out of work, this is all obvious to my aunt and she is angry that they are not supporting me emotionally financially or anything. They have just gone on with " life as usual " as long as Im living 90 miles from them and in Tucson I was 1100 miles away so things have gotten really tense. I have been waiting for SSD since april, but my case worker said a decision will be coming soon. HUGS Colleen

Guest guest
Colleen, my prayers are with you. How long have you been waiting for it to go thru? My son waited two years for his to go through. Why are they fighting over you if I can ask? Crying does help a lot sometimes, but I think you have sjogren, right? Do the tears burn your eyes or you have no tears? I don't remember. Please hang in there. Guest guest
That's a shame. Our son had moved out on his own, was doing really well, then mono struck him, then fibro and cfs. So of course he lost everything and he moved back home with his parents [us]. Which I wouldn't have any other way for him. We redone the basement for him and he can go and come as he pleases. But he does miss being on his own. My son is 30 also. Be thankful your Aunt is there for you. She sounds like a very nice lady. My prayers will be with you. gentle hugs Helen > OOOps my mail sent before I was done. Anyway, the crying leads to a lot of > inflammation and rebound dryness. Guest guest
"Moms sis, mom and dad just could not deal with the lifestyle change of having a 30 year old come home and have reacted like I am faking this or exagerating to get out of work, this is all obvious to my aunt and she is angry that they are not supporting me emotionally financially or anything." So sorry to hear this Colleen ... Family can be so cruel. You would think they would be the ones to support you when you need, but I guess they are too caught up in their own expectations of you or who you are that they refuse to. It must be horrible to have your own parents against you. I am the oposite. My mad aunt (who ironically lives with her parents) was the one who labelled me a faker cause I have a "need to be looked after" and all that other psycho rubbish. What a load of crap. Give me back my independance any day! I often think people label you based on themselves and how they feel. How does everyone cope with all the shit they get from their families? Guest guest
Hi Colleen, "The most recent as of this week is that my aunt fired off a letter to my mom that they just should not talk for a while. My mom says she should mind her own business, but my aunt says she cant just act like they are OK when parents are treating me like crap and like a faker. If I were going to fake anything it sure would not be constant eye irritation." Geez hon your family and mine must be related! Except it was my aunt who was the bad guy. We even did the letter writing thing also! It totally stressed me out. I hated seeing all the discord. Especially from people I loved. How are you coping with it? And as for faking! I think we'd all rather fake an illness that allows us to do what we want, without any pain, rather then something that takes our life away. *hugs* Love Aisha
Guest guest
Thanks AISHA You summed it all up perfectly. If I were faking something, It would be something that would have allowed me to stay in Tucson and to hike and be out at those pools every day! I am doing my best to get through each day. Thats about all I can do right now. This list helps so much and you all are the only people who seem to really understand what some of this is like, I appreciate it a great deal Hugs Colleen
