You know...I don't have a clue LOL all I can figure is that the oxygen helps to

compress our fat pockets. I would ask Rashelle as she is the expert :) I'm

just a trusted follower *smile* Seriously, that is a good question to ask her.

I understand the no pain theory and to be honest I still walk 60 minutes a day.

It's just ingrained I guess LOL But let me say that it is because I choose to

walk...not because I have to! Lifelift really does give me all I need and it is

wonderful on those days that I either can't get outside or to the gym that I can

take 20 minutes inside my home and do the exercises and breathhhhhhhhh LOL

As I said before I think it's such a way of life that I do it and don't even

think about it...I do it in church....while on the phone, while driving. It

took awhile to get the breaths down so that no one knows what I'm doing but once

I was able to do that...the sky's the limit.

warmly,

Jenni

Re: Is it really true?

Hey, Jenni! Thanks for the info! I'm still intrigued by the

thought of losing inches...where does the fat go? I've got that old

80's aerobics...no pain/no gain mentality still. :)

Hi Jenni,

I am new to Life Lift. I am enjoying it very much. I incorporate it into

yoga and I breath the

Life Lift way when I lift weights too. I absolutely love not having to run

everyday. I am slowly trying to get more in tune with my body in terms of

food intake -- I am a dietaholic. I diet like a maniac and then binge like a

maniac. I think I have lost the same 15 pounds 10 times. I have done alot of

reading about listening to your body and eating when you are hungry and

stopping when you are full. Anyway, what I want to know is how do you do the

breaths without any sounds or funny faces. I can't imagine doing them in

public!

I do do them in the car but I figure people are not paying too much

attention to what is going on inside the car :)

Thanks,

Kim

Hi Kim,

My name is Pat and is so very nice to meet you!!! I have been doing

Life Lift since the end of February. I have lost 8 inches in my waist,

and that all heppened when I had just completed my first week of Life

Lift breathing!! I was so astonished at the very rapid inch loss I

experienced. This is the best weight loss/health improvement program I

have ever come across!!! I have never dieted, as I don't believe in

dieting for various reasons which I will go into some other time. I

have only cut down my portions from time to time in my life, but have

never deprived myself of food that I really like, no matter how

" fattening " is was said and believed to be!!! I certainly never starved

myself to lose weight!!

To address your question, I like making those funny noises and funny

faces when I do my Life Lift breathing, and I really don't care what

people think of me if I happen to do Life Lift breathing in public,

which I do only when I am in a public bathroom in the one of the

stalls. I try to do the Life Lift breathing quietly when I am in

public, but the best Life Lift breathing, as far as I am concerned, is

done with as much noise as possible for as long as possible. I probably

do somewhere between 45 and 60 Life Lift breaths a day. I am a true

LIFELIFTAHOLIC!!!! I love it!!! I absolutely LOVE it!!!!

Well, I have to go now, Kim, but since I post regularly on this great

Life Lift group (I try to post 4 or 5 messages a day), you will see

my messages every day, or ALMOST every day anyway, so we will get plenty

of opportunities to chat with each other, both on list, and even off

list, if you would like that!!!

So, I hope that you and your family have a wonderful Easter, Kim, and

may God bless you always!!! Once again, it is so nice to meet you!!!

Love always,

Pat

Welcome Kim

I think the joy of doing LL in public is learning a technique how to do it

quietly and without strangeness

I'm sure if someone was really watching you they could see you breathing weird!

Just have fun

Hi Kim,

Lots and lots of practice LOL Every once in a while my husband will give me a

funny look and I realize that I wasn't focusing on what I was doing. Of course

in the house the entire family knows when I'm breathing LOL

What I did to get to that point was to practice when the family was watching TV.

If I got a look from someone I knew I wasn't quiet enough. When I finally got

to the point where I could do many breaths and no one in the family knew what I

was doing, I started practicing outside the house. Church was the best place

for me to practice this because of the need to a) not look foolish and B) not

disturb anyone else. I've never had anyone ever notice in church...but I guess

the answer would be focus focus focus. Does that make sense?

When you are blowing, barely open your mouth and when you are breathing

in....you don't do an exagerated breath to the point that you are sniffing

loud....does that makes sense? I also make sure that pah is a silent pah....in

my head but not out of my mouth.

It takes practice...but it can be done :)

warmly,

Jenni

Thanks for taking the time to help out here Jenni. I appreciate it. You are a

doll.

I can do LifeLift so no one even realizes I am doing it when they are standing

right next to me. Just keep your breaths slow and smooth and soft. In and out

and when you do the lift, just simply contract your abdomen muscles. This is

very effective and feels great. It is a great stress reducer to do it when

waiting to get on a plane or even on long plane flights for me. The person next

to me just thinks I am taking deep breaths and sighing.

Hello Kim,

Welcome to LifeLift. I can see you will be a wonderful addition to our group.

As I said in a previous message to Jenni I can do LifeLift so no one even

realizes I am doing it when they are standing right next to me. Just keep your

breaths slow and smooth and soft. In and out and when you do the lift, just

simply contract your abdomen muscles. This is very effective and feels great. It

long plane flights for me. The person next to me just thinks I am taking deep

breaths and sighing.

When I am in the car or at the computer or in the shower then I do more of the

traditional LifeLift breaths, but doing it the other way is great too.

Hi Jenni,

Thanks for the suggestions! I guess I will have to do ALOT of practice

before I can get quieter because I am a very noisy LL breather! LOL

Dear Pat,

Thank you for the warm welcome and congratulations on your sucess with

LifeLift. I too have lost 3 inches and am very pleased with that and hope it

continues. The thing I like the best about LL is the feeling of energy and

well

being I experience. I am a full time nursing student and I have 2 sons so

balancing college and kids is sometimes exhausting and stressful. However with

LL I feel so much better :)

Hi Kim,

You're very welcome. Thank you for your congratulatory remarks!!! I

LOVE LL and I am so happy that I came across it and Rashelle through

Google Search Engine almost 2 months ago. I can tell you for sure that

you will be just as successful as I am and that you might even be MORE

successful than I am. I know what you mean when you speak about the

energy that you feel in the LL breathing, as I feel it too. It is most

evident to me in the " PAH " parts of the breathing reps.

Thank you for sharing your busy life with me. I can imagine that

dividing your time between being a full time nursing student and two

sons is very demanding and exhausting. I am so glad that you have LL to

help you through your very hectic and tiring days. It is good that,

wherever we are and whatever we are doing, we can always stop and take a

couple of LL breaths, isn't it? I have known many nurses who I have had

as friends, and a few of my relatives have been nurses and one or two

doctors thown in. I know how demanding medical lives can be!!!

Well, take care, Kim!!! And we will talk on this wonderful list many

times, I am sure. I am just dashing off some emaail replies right now,

and then I am going to bed. It is 11:30 pmhere in Vermont as I type

this to you now!!!! Have a wonderful night, my dear friend!!!!
