Guest guest Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 I thought ALL bottle water was pure, that is why we are paying for it and not getting out of the tap---what about it Life Lift sisters? Anyone know for sure? Connie :-) > > Hi Connie, > > Bottled water would be OK, but what kind is pure? > > Liz > -- > > > Cute question Liz. Is it bottle VS tap? Connie :-) > Quote
Guest guest Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 Here's a great site that explains water. http://www.freedrinkingwater.com/water-education2/2-water-quality-defined.htm In a nutshell it says... Even the term " pure water " is somewhat ambiguous. It has different connotations to individuals in various fields. The bacteriologist, for example, is apt to regard " pure water " as a sterile liquid, that is, one with no living bacteria in it. The chemist, on the other hand, might well classify water as " pure " when it possesses no mineral, gaseous or organic impurities. It is obvious that " pure water " as described in this paragraph is likely to be found only in laboratories .... and even there only under ideal conditions. Guest guest Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 I thought that all bottled water is pure, too. Although with all these manufacturing ploys and lies, no one can really know for sure. I understand that the higher ups of all manufacturing companies and concerns even lie to their own salesmen and saleswomen about what they are selling!!! So, the salespeople don't even know what the truth about what they are selling is? If they don't know, then how are their customers ever going to know? Guest guest Posted March 23, 2006 Report Posted March 23, 2006 Thanks girls for all of your inputs! Has anyone tried one of those pitchers that filters the water before it's poured into your cup? I've been thinking about those pitchers for a while now. I'm probably going to buy distilled bottled water for this Fruit Flush, I'm going to do the flush next week. Liz Quote
Guest guest Posted March 23, 2006 Report Posted March 23, 2006 Lizzie, I have one in my fridge, I don't know if you remember it. It is soooooooooooooo worth it! I thinkwe only paid about 25.00 for it a couple of years ago. We have 3 people drinking water regularly in the house...usually about 300 ounces or more per day and the filter we have in now was put in the tank in September of last year. It removes a lot and makes the water taste sooooooooo good! Jon, our oldest, was over the other day and he said that he didn't realize how bad the tap water was until he drank some of our filtered water./ We buy the filters in a pack...I think they are about 25.00 for 8 of them....but they last forever! Hope this helps. love, Jenni Re: Re: Pure Water Thanks girls for all of your inputs! Has anyone tried one of those pitchers that filters the water before it's poured into your cup? Guest guest Posted March 23, 2006 Report Posted March 23, 2006 Hi Jennie, What brand do you have? Thanks! Liz Quote
Guest guest Posted March 23, 2006 Report Posted March 23, 2006 It's a Pur. It's the one that slides in the fridge...it's really thin and long, with a gray top. They make the pitchers also that you can put in the fridge....I think the pitchers hold maybe a gallan? I think the one we have holds 2 gallons. When you buy it, they usually come with a filter already so you don't need to buy one right away. But for some reason I remember the original filter not lasting as long. But it would definitely get you past your fasting. love, Jenni Re: Re: Pure Water Hi Jennie, What brand do you have? Thanks! Liz What can changing the way you breathe do for you? Everything! Guest guest Posted March 23, 2006 Report Posted March 23, 2006 Actually they did a study of bottled water and the top rated are Ice Mountain and one other. The rest of them didn't meet the qualifications. love, Jenni Re: Pure Water I have heard that some bottle water is a scam too.
