I haven't gotten anything with your name on it in over a day now, so maybe we

are over this weird virus thing.

Gang,

I scanned my computer and have no viruses. My Norten has been up to

date(weekly checks for updates). If you think that it'll help if I re-join, let

me know. Simply go to and use a different sign-on? My email will

still be the same.

Thanks,

Jerry

I think I may have a virus as my computer keeps crashing. Anyone know of a free virus check. I just looked at Symantec which used to have such a service but don't see anything that can help. Any ideas??

Goggle NOD32 and you can get free month from the Autrailian site

It is by far the best in my opinion - not a single piece of Spyware has got through since I replaced Norton with this.

My puter keeps dying - I think its overheating - weather doesn't help, but I am that woman who managed to wear the letters off a keyboard in less than 6 months LOL

I have a problem.....I believe I have to remove my main anti-virus software (Symantec) before I run another on this computer. I was given my main software by my university

www.pctools.com

There is a free trial download of anti virus on there.

Alternatively, if you google antivirus, you get a lot of hits back that have

free trials.

Hi Stuart,

Thanks. I am trying to get that up and running but am told the source file is corrupted. Does that mean that the PcTools software is defective? or is it my darling computer? :-((

It really is amazing what people will do. It would seem that they would find better use for their time.

I've gotten a few of these from a 'classmate' but of course never open because for the most part the email it goes to none of them would have. But even if it were the right one, I woudln't open them.

And even ones you recognize the name, you have to be careful. There was one going around inviting people to groups that turned out to be a worm. It got ahold of your address book and sent out these invites.

http://www.snopes.com/computer/virus/postcard.asp

a friend sent this although i was aware of it. i havebeen getting these stupid things but they go rightinto my spam folder and i delete them. i know we arean educated crowd but just a reminder to not open

anything like this unless you recognize the emailaddy. this goes for most mail too. i don't know howtrue the virus is at destroying but anythingspam, spybot etc is through emails as well and canreally screw things up. i know!!! trust me i know,

cost over $100 to know. just a word a warning to myfriends and familykassia ____________________________________________________________________________________Never miss a thing. Make your home page.
