Guest guest Posted March 30, 2012 Report Share Posted March 30, 2012 5 different zones:(Sturdevant's)Zone 1.Normal Dentine: the deepest zone,it has tubules with odontoblastic processes.Zone 2.Subtransparent Dentine: zone of demineralization of the intertubular dentine.Zone 3.Transparent Dentine: zone of carious dentine that is softer than normal dentine.Zone 4.Turbid Dentine: zone of bacterial invasion.Zone 5.Infected Dentine: outermost zone composed of decomposed dentine.
