Guest guest
Hi Melinda and everyone, Melinda, I am so happy to see that you are doing better with everything. Finding out what works for each of us is the key to our success. Honoring our individuality is a very important thing if we really want to find success that will be lasting. Some people do well jumping in with both feet and others do so much better if they take tiny, baby steps and try to change one habit at a time. If you can look at the long term rewards for each thing you change it can create monumental benefits long term. It is a good idea to take at least one minute daily and write down what your reward will be for your new behavior. Keep your sight on the reward and it will make it so much easier to get where you want to go. I like the idea of patting yourself on the back at the end of each day for a job well done and counting up each and every tiny accomplishment. I also like it when I see someone counting up the good deeds they have done at the end of the day. Even a simple thing like smiling at someone can change the way they feel in a day. When you acknowledge these things it can really make a difference in your own success. The more you learn to like yourself the more you will allow yourself to accept the good things you are hoping for. Feeling worthy is another big key in opening the door to our lasting success. I am here cheering all of you on and I am clapping out loud for each and every triumph. I love it when you share it with all of us. It helps me to know that all my cheering is being heard somewhere off in the distance. I feel my LifeLift team is the best team on Earth. I believe you are all winners! If you can do 20 LL breaths each morning and a short Bible reading, even if it's just a Psalm or one chapter in the Bible before breakfast it doesn't take long. It's a good place to start. Love, Liz -- Hey, Liz! I'm tired today, too. You're doing great with the Bible reading thing. I was read the Bible through with the kids year before last, but last year we just fell out. I'd like to do that this year - - sometimes we listen to chapters of the Bible on CD or tape. I want consistency in my life in LL breathing and Bible reading. Those are pretty good goals, I think. Guest guest
Thank you for the wonderful ideas, Rashelle. I will DEFINITELY use them, especially the idea of journaling what my rewards will be for my new habits and for the good things I've done that day. A friend of mine and I were talking last night about how we believe weight loss and fitness had evaded us as adults because we felt unworthy of the bodies we want. Writing down the things you suggested is a simple, practical step I can take to overcome those feelings. I am always so thankful for practical, to-the-point steps like that. Incidentally, I've done better with my WW than I ever have before, simply because I've been journaling every day. I believe this will work with my LL too. For the first time in years, I've begun to believe that I can really sustain this lifestyle journey I'm now on longterm, and I know that I will eventually have the body I've wanted for so long. Thank you so much dearest Rashelle. You can't even begin to imagine the impact for good you're having on your listers every day. God bless you for caring enough to share your wonderful system with us. Love, Melinda ) Re: RE: Liz's CHOICES - 01/21/05 Wow Melinda!!!!
