bauxite is the mineral ore from which aluminum is extracted.

some bauxite is in crystalline form, I suppose

when I organize my books I will check out and so what my rock books say...

about breast health & deodorants warned against bauxite.

natural and healthy, calling itself 'crystal' (I wonder, to cash in on the

healing 'aura' of crystals that many believe in?) - is actually harmful as

aluminum, etc.

Hello Folks,

I have created a pretty good 100% natural deodorant which I have been

testing for the past few weeks. Used once a day has kept me from not

smelling and I live in the tropics. I really think a good part of

alcohol is necessary thus the test I have been using has 5% alcohol in

it. I haven't really had any problem at that concentration though

after a good workout & shower when my pores are wide open I feel a bit

of warmth.... I am not sure if it is the alcohol or the 0.5% of

rosemary oil in the eo blend. I plan to run the test again without the

rosemary oil or at least cut it in 1/2.

My question is; are any of you making a natural deodorant with alcohol

in it and what is a good percentage to use to keep all people happy?

Case in point is people who shave their armpits. After a fresh shave I

can imagine alcohol can be quite " warming " (like alcohol on a cut.)

Any ideas or experiences would be most appreciated. Looking forward to

hearing from you all soon. Sincerely,

Have a great day,

Wow Willow,

That is quite interesting. I am surprised to hear the statistics on

that :-O Will have to do a bit more research in the meantime. So far

i am loving it ;-) Friends that I have given it to have also really

liked it and were actually surprised it worked, hehehehe. Thanks

Willow. Take care,

Have a great day,

Willow,

I have to concur on your input to . I had a small skin cancer

(fine now!) under my arm (how the heck I got it there??) and after it

was treated and removed, I got a nasty staph infection over and over.

I now use only crystal salt deodorants and can report that they don't

stop the sweat (a good thing) but make the environment unacceptable

for bacteria to grow on. Also, drop the shaver! I haven't used a razor

in years; get an epilator! It lasts for weeks, is not all that painful

especially after you use it once or twice, and you will never nick

your skin again. I will never go back to the razor!!
