Guest guest
I would continue to package my soaps as normal but put them in Ziplock bags for shipping so the scents dont intermingle. The consumer will then take them out of the bags and have nice fresh soaps. We have soapers in CA ship out here to the east coast like this and their soaps are fine upon arrival. Guest guest
Hi, Chris~ Many of us use Sam's Choice plastic wrap from WalMart. It works beautifully around the bar, and the fragrance can be sniffed thru it. I've used it over the cigar band label and it not only protects the soap, it looks really good. Just be sure your bars are fully cured before wrapping. Best~ in Cincinnati SilkySoap.com
Guest guest
I have recently started using the soap boxes that have a cut out in the front. You can see and smell the soap yet they are protected more than in a cigar band. I bought mine from Kangaroo Blue. LMK if you find them cheaper somewhere. Guest guest
Hey all, I am new to this group and I hope this is the correct place to ask questions. I have been making soap and am happy with my recipe but I need help with packaging. I have a unique situation I think in that I sell outdoors. I have tried using boxes for my soap but when it is humid or the temp changes my soap gets sticky or the carboard absorbs the scent and well you can bet the soap is not the best by this time. Any suggestions on what to use? I have thought of freezer paper but was hoping for something a little better. Like a paper that will resist moisture or something? Thanks for your suggestions. Guest guest
When I'm using a soap base that would prob " sweat " I mix it with SFIC now sweat formula soap base... that curbs the issue we have down here in the south of sweating soaps. LOL, it works so well that I don't have to use the clear wraps on them, but now wrap them in coffee filters... so the soap stays clean, but customers who wish to snif then buy ... can. good luck! gini (and be sure to include INCI names for your ingredients on your label) > > Hey all, > I am new to this group and I hope this is the correct place to ask > questions. Guest guest
I mix kaolin white clay into my soap. About 1/4 cup per 8 lbs. It stops the sweating pretty well. Also careful of how much oils you add to your soap. I cut back on those as well and it has made a difference.

Thanks for your suggestions. cured cp soap or m & p, if i'm going to be at an outdoor event or a humid place, i wrap the soap in plastic wrap/shrink wrap then box it. keeps it from getting mushy or sweating in those hot humid trade shows! hth alex " The Alchemy of Fragrance Blending " www.masterblender.com All about fragrance blending. learn to blend like a pro! Guest guest
Hi , Is your soap MP? If so, you are seeing the glycerin sweating out of the soap in the heat. You will need to do something like shrink wrapping right away to prevent that. I make only CP soap and do several outdoor farmer's markets and have never had that problem. -Mel
