Guest guest
Dar, I don't keep one, but it sounds like a wonderful idea. I would think it could be anyway that works for you. I just read your previous email and what you wrote in asking about it, seems great to me. Who you're praying for, what or why and answered. At least that's my take on it, until we get a better plan... Love ya, Kiki
Guest guest
HI Dar, I just get a little notebook of some kind and each day instead of saying my prayers in my mind, I write them down and put the date. It is amazing how once you get started you can really flow with the words. It is alot of fun to look back on the dates and see who you prayed for at that time. Hope this helps, Love, Can anyone tell me how to make and use a prayer journal? I would really appreciate any help. Also, thanks to all you wonderful people who are willing to pray for both my family and for the other people out there who are sick or in pain (emotional or physical). You are indeed beautiful people! I'm sure the LL would help in both cases too, as oxygen should be beneficial for lessening emotional stress as well as for helping with the physical problems. Thank you. Dar What can changing the way you breathe do for you? Everything! Guest guest
Hi everyone, As you can imagine life has been crazy here. I think we are actually starting to feel some sense of reality...everything has seemed so surreal. Jon and his fiancé are moving to another apartment complex. The manager at the complex where the suicide took place has been horrible.......yelling at the kids, blaming them for the mess and refusing to help clean it up. The kids have been dealing with insurance companies and the police but mostly have been left high and dry through this all. It is really tragic. I don't think that the apartment complex should have to pay for everything but I also don't think the kids should either. The apartment complex isn't willing to compromise at all. What a mess. I would appreciate your ongoing prayers for all of us. There is much healing to be done with everyone. As for the prayer journal...I have two of them. One I use to write down my prayers when I don't feel like praying. We all have dry spells with the Lord and I find that when I sit down and write my thoughts and prayers in this book I slowly come back to getting down on my knees daily. The second one I use for specific requests from others. I use a large lined journal book. I write down the date on the left hand side. Then I write the name, the prayer request and the date. I try to leave space on the right to write down the date that the prayer has been answered. Sometimes that spot will remain open for months or years...sometimes that spot is dated the same day or a day later. It just depends on what God is doing in our lives at that time In the morning I get on my knees and pray down the list. In my case the list is pages long so I can be known to stay on my knees for hours. Rarely is it less than an hour. There are so many needs out there. Just remember that prayer journal is NOT a replacement for your time with the Lord. It is only a tool to help bring you closer to Him. I talk to Him all day long, He is my best friend and so I bring everything in my life to Him. Remember that He has numbered every hair in your head...so He cares about the little things just as much as the big ones. with love, Jenni Proud Air Force Mom! May God guide and protect our troops! Guest guest
Jenni, I think it is just unfathomable what your son and fiance are going through and I can't believe the attitude of the apartment complex. It seems they would at least take into consideration the shock the kids experienced and try to help in some way. I will continue to pray for them. I love your ideas for your journals, thanks for sharing with us. Love, Hi everyone, As you can imagine life has been crazy here.
