Thanks for the help Shaye! I was hoping that I was making sense there. I could

care less about the " looks " of there being a hole, but I know some people might

care. I didn't know if it would affect the way the thing went up when turned

either.

Yes, you were lots of help. And I just realized that I sounded pretty silly

with those questions!

Christi....

i find the lotion bars are wonderful for the elbows, feet, heels, legs....

anyplace that tends to be really really dry. also very nice on cuticles. i

always suggest just patting dry after the shower, and applying the lotion bar

while the skin is still damp.

my husband has very dry legs in the winter and he wouldn't be without his

lotion bar! it's the only thing that stops the dryness and itching.

Hi Carol:

I am sending you two recipes that come out beautifully smooth and creamy.

One is for a Lotion Bar the other one is bor Body Butter, which is also

solid.

Lotion Bar

1.5 oz wt Beeswax

1oz wt Cocoa Butter

1.5 oz wt Shea Butter

2 oz wt Almond Oil

1/4 tsp Vitamin E Oil

Put ingredients into a 2 cup pyrex measuring cup microwave untill everything

has melted. Let cool for a few minutes and add essential or fragrance oils

if desired. For this one I used 1 part Sandalwood and 3 parts orange

essential oil.

Pour into container. I used 2 oz deodorant tubes, this recipe makes three 2

oz containers.

Body Butter

3 oz wt Cocoa Butter

2oz wt Mango Butter

2oz wt Shea Butter

1oz wt Apricot oil

1 tsp Vitamin E Oil

Put everything into a 2 cup pyrex measuring cup. Microwave untill

everything has melted together. Let cool a few minutes and add scented oils

if desired. I used Apricot fragrance oil for this one.

Pour into container. I also used the 2oz deodorant tubes for this one.

This recipe makes 3 two ounce containers plue about a little over an ounce

extra. I put the extra into melt and pour soap molds.

These are not grainy but very smooth and creamy.

Blessings:

Raven

Might consider selling them if I knew what they were and how to make

them! Sounds very interesting.

I used to sell it in the small deodorant containers and sold a decent

number of them, but then the popularity dropped off so I don't sell them

anymore.

For myself, I like them. For these dry months, I like to make them in soap

molds to use when I get out of the shower. Seems like it would be a

difficult sell, though. I had to do a lot of explaining and promoting them

as good for traveling and keeping in one's purse.

I thought of selling them in the tins for men but never tried.
