Guest guest
> Listen to Amy; she's right. I wouldn't sell on eBay <again>. I learned the hard way. I thought using eBay might be another good way to sell my soap besides friends family craft shows and my website. I put about a dozen different soaps on it - but all with minimum bids. That way, if someone did want to buy any, it wouldn't go for pennies! I sold one bar of soap for the minmum bid of $1.99. The other soaps went unsold - and on top of that, eBAY charged me almost $15 for posting the soaps with pictures. Diane ********** Yes, Amy and Diane have given good advice. Ebay charges for everything and most times you don't break even - let alone MAKE any money. Try this - it is free and you earn points for trading/recycling items http://www.poshpoints.com/default.aspx?ref=12915 The shipper pays the shipping so you don't get ripped off when you want something. When you want to list items, just put up for trade small and lightweight things to keep the shipping cost low if you want or for heavy things like soap... - add the cost of shipping (with delivery confirmation) to the point value that you assign to your items. They suggest that you equate points with dollars - so for a $5 bar of soap you would probably set the point value at 7 - 5 for the soap and 2 to cover your shipping costs. Many folks like to combine orders to save on points - so figure the shipping for 2, 3, 4... bars of soap... and then maybe you could offer packages at reduced points. You get 15 points just for signing up. I got 3 things for free using my 15 points. This could be a great way to sell craft items or anything else - just make sure to put a business card/website/E-mail... in with the items when you send them out. This is free advertising too. Use the points you earn to get other things you want. There is anything from jewelry, antiques, home & garden... P.S. My daughter and I joined a little while ago and we love it. It is a great way to recycle your unwanted goods and get something you need. You might even expand your business this way.
