Guest guest
Hi Kev, Get a company headed letter, signed by you and the OIM and either one of you arranges to be met at the heliport by local police. Police signs form to say they received the controlled drugs and you get a copy for your records on the platform. Hope this helps. Or speak with the company doc and see what he says. Or have you any other " foolproof " methods. I believe my previous disposal down sink with witness is now frowned upon :-) Cheers for any ideas. Kev F. Guest guest
Kev, There is a PDF on the RemoteMedics website (download section) that could be copied and tailored for your purposes. I can created a generic one and upload that if that would be of use. Guest guest
Hi Guys, there has recently been a change in this procedure has I found out last trip when taking Out Of Date Controlled Drugs into Aberdeen Police Station. According to the Police thes are the requirements now. Expired Drugs to be placed inside a sealed envelope. On the Outside of the envelope you will require the following information. Name of Drug and size (1mg/10ml etc) Quantity of Drug to be disposed off. Platform and Company Name drugs have come from. You will also need a Company Headed letter signed by the Company Doctor. The Company Form for Disposal of Controlled Drugs in triplicate, one copy retained by the Police, One Copy to the Company Medical Department and one copy for the platform records Regards Neil Poole Elgin/lin Medic.
