Guest guest
I have been offered a post with KBR, Cheryl in Houston is dealing with recruitment. Just received all the details. Share a tent with 9 others, US camp bed, bring your own inflatable, hope they mean lilo mattress. Cold showers, so expect to remain dirty(quote) Confined to camp. $3,000 per month with 55% mark up, overtime is one for one, spend three weeks in Houston being processed, $500 dollar advance from your first paycheck when you board the plane, 4 months duty with 10 days off, actually put down as 120/10. This will not entice me away from my post here, would off course be ideal for someone starting out. Good Luck to anyone going, I have all the details on e mail if required. Regards W Clyde, Medic CLYMED@... Re: calling any American paramedics--KBR work Lee, It's good to see you've found work and I wish you all the best. For those attracted by the sound of the salary there will be many out there who would also like to know (as I do having twice been offered, and declined, work in Iraq with KBR/Halliburton within the last couple of weeks ) that it is a salary paid in dollars(and the exchange rate is changing all the time for the worse) with an assumed working week of 84 hrs(40 hrs basic but overtime every day) and a rotation of 4 Months on and 2 weeks off! Guest guest
Hi , Firstly why were you declined i sent my resume and my recruiter couldnt get me to Houston fast enough. Ok as for the other questions, You are paid in dollars but have several options as to where you want your salary to go. I have just used my English Account , even though exchange rate is low but remember tax is non exsistant so exchange rate really doesnt matter. The base rate of 3000 dollars is based on 40 hours a week, with a 55% uplift on it so your first 40 hours is 4650 dollars, remember you will work 7/7 meaning 84 hour week. The rotation is the problem for most people its 4 months with only 10 days leave then further 4 months followed by 10 days etc. I have been in Houston for 2 weeks will leave to Iraq on Wed which by the way is the only time you get paid when you get on that flight to Iraq. Any help you need in getting recruited im sure i can help. Keep in touch i may be able to help. Guest guest
Lee, I have not been declined, Cheryl keeps phoning and asking me to get the paper work completed and rush to Houston, however at my age better off staying here. If they have updated everything then they should send the correct info, best of luck and keep us all informed of your progress Regards W Clyde, Medic CLYMED@...
