Hi guysYesterday I was trying to do this OSCE with my study patner and then he asked meWill you open stiches and take a sample again?hm.....I told that I am pretty sure that the lump is nothing to worry about and this is a routine procedure....but then he asked me so if I have something sinister.....?I dont really no how to answer itThese two qs can be asked by the actor in the exam...What do you think guys?Shall we re-take a tissue in the area where the cut is?Or just monitor? Dear sami, I attended Mfds 2 preparation course of edinburgh last july. They told us that the statement at the top of the question paper is very important and it should guide us in the station. And that lots of people who dont pass the exam do the mistake of not paying attention to the statement and therefore missing the most important part of every station. Example, in the situation u mentioned, you may find that it is about breaking bad news, so u ll be juged of how you deliver the news to the patient and of course further handling of the situation. First of all -who lost it?In the clinic or in micro.lab?

Appologise on behalf of ur college or for you

Explaine the situation as it is-be honest

explaine the complaint procedure protocol

Call to your defence organisations

Do audit later on this matter,attend training-handling procedure...

I am not sure if DGP will do it in practice...i think they refer to a specialist...It looks like OSCEs for MJDF...

HOW WILL YOU DEAL WITH A SITUATION LIKE THIS AND WHAT WILL YOU SAY TO THE PATIENT ,AND WHAT ARE THE LAWS ?
