Guest guest Posted August 3, 2006 Report Posted August 3, 2006 I make products out of high grade essential oils. Certain oils, like lemon and orange, can make the skin sensitive to the sun. I've successfully used certain " hot " or irritating oils on my skin if they were diluted with enough carrier oil and got great results. Does anyone have any experience with how to minimize or neutralize the sun sensitivity aspects of essential oils without adding a sun screen? I'm just wondering that if a carrier oil can dilute the irritation, can it do the same with the sun sensitivity? And if so, would other suspensions, like in alcohol, work? Beth Quote
