Guest guest Posted August 16, 2011 Report Share Posted August 16, 2011 yes u are right. nerve that causes upward and outward movement is inferior oblique. all eye muscles are supplied by occulomotor except superior oblique ( by trochlear) and lateral rectus( by abducent). it comes with a famous mnemonic SO4, LR6. superior oblique causes down and out movement. lateral rectus causes lateral movement of one eye while the other eye moves medially by the action of the medial rectus. regards smriti > > Which nerve makes pts to look upward and outward?
