Hi : There are a number of recipes at MMS

www.the-sage.com

plus some at the Toiletries Library

http://www.luxurylane.com/thelibrary/index.htm

I would suggest that when you first start, keep your recipes small (easier

to handle). If you need any further help, just let me know.

I agree; we work so hard to perfect our products that we make & sell; then

someone wants us to tell them what is in it or how to make it. If we tell

everyone how something is made then they will make it & won't buy it so we are

out

of business. She should have told you that she doesn't give out her recipes or

her suppliers instead of being rude & ignoring you.

There are so many websites that have recipes & step buy step instructions for

you to research. Here is one that I found just searching:

Good Luck.

Thanks for all who responded to my question of soap recipes. I am

wondering if I can just use oils I currently have on hand to make a

batch of soap. I carry sweet almond oil always. I read on a site

that I can use vegetable oils and crisco shortening. Is there a way

to make a soap using just vegetable oils and shortening along with my

sweet almond oil? I am just looking to try my hand at the soap

making and am looking for a fairly simple and inexpensive recipe to

try.

Thanks for all your help

Hi Charise:

Since you already have some almond oil, get some olive oil, it dosen't have

to be the expensive kind, I get mine at the dollar store it is usually

pomace 8 ounces for a buck. then get a bottle of chrisco and you are set to

make soap.

The sage has a great lye and water calculator. www.thesage.com

Just go there and put in what kind of liquid that you are using and how many

ounces of oils and it will give you the correct amount of lye and water to

use.
