Guest guest
Hi Toni - My son is getting married in September of 2005, so I'm naturally " all ears " (I guess it should actually be " all eyes " !). Cinnamon and gold sounds beautiful for a Fall wedding. Fall leaves, pinecones (which are sort of cinnamon-colored), and gold votive candles would be beautiful. If people in your area have fireplaces, pinecone fire-starters would be great favors. You could do labels that say, " Your presence here today warms our hearts. Thank you for sharing our joy. " Just an idea. Best wishes. Barb Barbara's Bath Email: barbaras.bath@... Guest guest
What about small candles (votive size) in a cinnimon color organza bag. Use a FO that is unisex. When tieing the organza place a hang tag on it with " Thank you for sharing our special day with us " ...or what ever. For the center peice do something like this with cinnamon color flowers or even white carnatons or daisies. There is also a flower called rover that comes in a bronze. Here are a couple of photos just to give you an idea. I think the daisies would look great a a fish bowl type vase. <http://www.roses-nationwideshop.com/Images/products/HWE_34741.jpg> r <javascript:photo_opener('http://i.walmart.com/i/p/00/02/55/42/41/0002554241209_\ 500X500.jpg,http://i.walmart.com/i/p/00/02/55/42/41/0002554241209_500X500.jpg,ht\ tp://i.walmart.com/i/p/00/02/55/42/41/0002554241209_AV_60X60.gif,http://i.walmar\ t.com/i/p/00/02/55/42/41/0002554241209_AV1_60X60.gif & product_id=1972521', '/catalog/detail.gsp')> Antique Russet Roses Shere' www.nature-zone.com iginal Message----- From: LaRixaSoaps@... Guest guest
A lady on another list I am on just posted about a friends wedding she went to! She talked about how much she liked their centerpieces and how cheaply they were actually able to make them. She said that they took fake flowers in the colors of the wedding and tied the stems together with a tulle bow and just laid these in the center of each table. She said that, on the 2 sides of the stems were votive holders with candles in them in the main color of the wedding. She said that it was just so pretty and that, she did not originally think it would be when she heard that they did this. She also said that, their favors were done just as I had done for my wedding. I got potpourri in a scent that matched my color scheme. My colors were fuschia, silver and white. We got a rose scented potpourri that actually had silver in it and some of the items in it were a fuschia color (what luck, huh?)! We cut out pieces of tulle, placed potpourri in the center, pulled the tulle up around it, and tied it with thin ribbon matching our wedding colors, with a tag we had printed out from the computer with our names and the wedding date on them. These were taken QUICK! Otherwise, if you have alot of women coming, how bout making small single-use bath salts in the color of the wedding? Maybe cinnamon colored salts (or close to that) wrapped in a golden hued baggy? I also just did bubbles for my daughters' birthdays at school, and a friend of mine is having me do them for her baby shower. I was able to get a package of 12 of the small bubbles (the wedding sized ones) at the dollar store!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You can print a label for them with their information, than add ribbons in their colors! If you can't find them in your area, let me know and I can pick them up here and ship them to you! You can also buy tulle here for 1.00 a yard, not sure what it is in your area. Then you can dye it to match the wedding colors. I LOVE using rose bowls (rented), metallic shredded easter grass, and water with beads in the bottom of the rose bowl and a floating candle! These were our center pieces for our wedding. We had a mirror tile (rented) with the metallic easter grass on top of that (just mostly in the center) with a rose bowl (rented)sitting on it, with the opalescent pebbles (rented) in it, with water and a floating candle in it. If you can get some cheap baskets somewhere, or borrow some, you can also fill those with colored paper or such. If they are getting married in October, then maybe there are some cinnamon colored and gold colored Christmas bulbs out there that can be stacked in each basket and placed in the center of each table. Anyways, sorry this was so long, lol. Hope you get TONS of ideas and good luck with the wedding! Congrats toO!
