Body Parfaits are super easy to make and sell like hotcakes

RECIPE 1

Cat's Body Parfait Recipe

Mix together:

1/4 cup clear aloe vera gel (the commercial stuff)

1 tsp. glycerine

1/4 tsp. flavoring extract or a few drops water-based scent

1-2 drops food coloring

pinch fine glitter, if desired

Set this aside. Separately, mix:

1/4 cup unscented body cream

few drops fragrance oil

1-2 drops color (if desired...I leave mine white)

Take a clear jar and spoon a layer of lotion in the bottom. Top with

a thin

layer of aloe vera gel. Top this with another thin layer of lotion,

then

gel, etc. until the jar is full.

Here are some ideas for scents:

Strawberry (gel)/Vanilla (lotion)

Peach or blueberry, cherry, banana, watermelon, kiwi, raspberry, etc.

(gel)/Vanilla (lotion)

Orange Dreamsicle (orange gel/vanilla lotion)

Pina Colada (pineapple gel/coconut with a touch of vanilla lotion)

Summer Sorbet (cucumber or melon with a touch of lime gel/vanilla

lotion)

Tropical Swirl (mango with a touch of jasmine gel/vanilla with coconut

lotion)

Hawaiian Tropic (mango with a touch of banana gel/coconut with a

touch of

vanilla lotion)

Amaretto (almond with a touch of cinnamon gel/vanilla lotion

Here's a list of the ingredients in this recipe.

For the Gel Phase:

1. ETD 2020

2. Triethanolamine (TEA)

3. Propylene Glycol (optional)

4. Preservative of choice

5. Colorant (optional)

6. Distilled Water

For the Lotion Phase

1. Liquid Polymer

2. Coconut Oil (or oil of your choice)

3. Preservative of choice

4. Fragrance (optional)

5. Distilled Water

I'm going to give you the recipes in grams, then I'll convert

them into the recipe I used at the SOSCCON conference. First, you'll

notice that I don't scent the gel phase. Adding scent will cloud the

gel unless you mix it with an appropriate amount of Polysorbate 20.

I think that's a real pain in the behind, so I slightly over-scent

the lotion to compensate. The fragrance in the lotion will migrate

over to scent the gel as well in about a day. Side note: If you

don't want to use Polysorbate 20, but do scent the gel, it does make

a beautiful, opaque color. I did this while I was coloring with

Green Select Shades™ and scenting with our Sweet Green Tea fragrance

oil and got an awesome jade-looking gel.

Gel Ingredient Percentages

1. Water: 93.4%

2. Propylene Glycol: 4%

3. Preservative: 1%

4. ETD 2020: 0.8%

5. TEA: 0.8%

Lotion Ingredient Percentages

1. Water: 77.5%

2. Coconut Oil: 17.5%

3. Liquid Polymer: 2.5%

4. Preservative: 1%

5. Fragrance: 1.5%

Conference Recipe (makes about 7 8oz jars)

Gel Recipe

1. Water: 940 grams

2. Propylene Glycol: 40 grams

3. Preservative: 10 grams

4. ETD 2020: 8 grams

5. TEA: 8 grams

Lotion Recipe

1. Water: 930 grams

2. Coconut Oil: 210 grams

3. Liquid Polymer: 30 grams

4. Preservative: 12 grams

5. Fragrance: 18 grams
