Credit Card Fraud

Hi All,

I have CC-NOw shopping cart and I'm generally satisfied

with it. One option is to either allow customers to put

a different shipping address than their billing address

or to not. I choose a while back to allow different

addresses because a lot of people prefer to get their

packages at the job.

Anyway, for the past 3 years I haven't had any major

problems but I've recently received a couple of orders

and it just doesn't sit right to me.

I got a $75 order from a customer who listed a Nevada

business address and wanted it Express mail. The credit

card name was a company (not the customer or a spouse

name) and the address was in Michigan. I thought

perhaps I'm thinking to much and if CC-Now didn't

question it, why should I. I shipped that order today

and notified the customer via email.

Later in the day, I get a $150 order shipped express to

same Nevada address. But, the credit card name was a

different name, another company name. And the address

was in Florida! Now, red flags went up in my mind. It

could be perfectly innocent and some rich lady who has

businesses all over. HA!

My concern is if I fill this order and she keeps

ordering at this rate and these are stolen credit cards

I could not be out a lot of products but also will have

to return this money plus maybe fees! I don't know how

to avoid this or be paranoid. I can't afford for

someone down the line to tell me $2000 of the purchases

were a fraudulent. Heck, I can't afford $200. Anybody

here have fraudulent purchases. Any info would be

helpful. TIA

Nikki

It would seem to me that CC-NOw should be assuming

the risk. That would be one of the reasons to go with

a CC service. Visit thier site and see what thier

terms are in relation to this. If they are assuming

the risk, send the order!

She's in Las Vegas. Is that southern NV? I called the

# listed and it's a hotel. But the shipping address is

a Company called Jus Bead It.

Nikki

Hmmm... if it was southern NV, I could do some checking

for you.
