rose petals

That idea also works with milk bath, salts etc. Put a drop on a cotton ball

and place it in the jar. I also did this with some lotion bars that I didn't

think were as strong as I liked. I took a cotton ball and cut it into fourths

with the fragrance on them and sit them on top, just didn't push the cap all

the way down. It made a difference. Have a great day you all. Really enjoy

all of the ideas. I also had to run out and get rose petals. This is really

an indictive hobby and costly, but I love it. Esther

Here's another one!! To help keep your rose petals scented and smelling

good in storage (I keep mine in a plastic bag in the fridge if it's going to

be very long, or in plastic containers to take with me if it's fairly soon),

soak a cotton ball in the EO/FO that you scented them with, and place it in

the container. I read that somewhere, but don't remember where!! Works,

too!

Re: rose petals

Sage,

It has finally happened..you've lost it !!! LOLOL Though I AM glad to see

someone is even more obsessed with these petal soaps than I am....

Actually,

I have to say, I think your ideas are GREAT....keep them coming..

YOU ARE BRILLIANT!! I wanna go home from work RIGHT NOW and try all of

these!!

Re: rose petals

Thanks Vicki,

Okay, here we go....

-Dip your kid's shoelaces in M & P so they have to wash them before they can

continue to use them.

-Do the same with any piece of laundry left laying around the house by

teens.

-Dip a piece of your kid's bathing suit in M & P and let them take a bath with

their bathing suit on.

-Make food scented petals and keep them in the kitchen.

-I read a study that said men find cinnamon to be an arousing scent. Dip

some leaves in cinnamon scented M & P and get ready!

-Dip some petals in a baby powder scented M & P and give to new parents to use

after they change the babies diaper.

-Dip some leaves, petals, or little pieces of cloth in M & P scented with some

of the eos known to discourage mosquitos and other nasty little bugs and

take

camping. You can even save them and wash the dishes with them after the

camp

fire meal.

-As a gift for a friend who has just bought a house, made a good (or bad)

investment, or in some other way exchanged a lot of money, dip squares of

paper money in M & P and scent it however you want.

Help...somebody stop me....

Here goes nothing...(well, something, I hope :))

These little petals are so sweet.

They wash your hands, you know.

Just use them like a bar of soap,

lather, rinse and go!!

How's that?

ROSE PETALS

O.K all you thinking people out there. Some of you are so good at wording

things I am going to ask you to write me a catchy saying as to how the rose

petals work. I know that you wash and toss, can carry and go...so put on

your

thinking caps and lets hear it! Thanks Dory

I'm loving this, when I first got on this list a couple of months ago, I

thought I didn't belong because Idon't do CP, just M & P. But I want to give

CP a try one day and thought I would just read and learn so that when I'm

ready, I won't have to learn it all at once. There were several times that M

& P was referred to as a " lower class " of soap. Now I think it is great that

y'al are all playing and having some fun with it. That is what I like about

it, but want to try doing it all from scratch when things slow down for me a

little.

Sage,

You are tempting me now...I walked by the Red Devil Lye in the store

yesterday and it was calling me....do you have a good recipe for a soap with

ground up rose petals?? That might put me over the edge... LOL

Have a great weekend,

Vicki

Vicki,

I recently made some with plain old Castile soap. Olive oil, Red Devil,

water, rose fragrance, and dried ground up rose petals. (and a bit of

vitamin E) It is very nice. Really, you do not need any special recipe. Go

to the library here and just choose one that suits your fancy and add the

scent and roses. The thing is to be sure and ground up the rose petals

small. Have fun!!
