Guest guest
> I have a whole box of yucky soaps. F Yucky soap to me is soap that did not turn out too well, color or shape, is not right or texture is less than perfect. You can ALWAYS grate down any not-so-great soap and Re-batch it and make it good again. Using water, herbal water, or milk water, and you can even add more FO or EO, herbs, colorants, etc and pour into molds. Has saved many a poor batch of soap! LOL! The older the soap the more water must be added. Generally it is 6-9 oz of liquid to 16 oz grated soap and melt over low heat until all soap is melted, adding a little glycerin or alcohol will help it melt faster. hth Sherry
Guest guest
If your soaps are just cosmetically imperfect (not rancid or bad) your local homeless shelter would love you for donating them. When I get a bunch of old, tired, shopworn, weird color, scents that don't sell as briskly as I like, smeared label or what have you, I take them down to the shelter. They are always so appreciative! I always get a thank you letter later. Makes me feel good and get's rid of the stuff that would just hang around. Win win for us all. Think about it next time you have " off " stuff.
